Build the Complete Hydraulic Cylinder Setup
Selecting the cylinder is only part of a complete hydraulic system. Depending on the application, an RC-Series cylinder may be combined with saddles, base plates, attachments, pumps, hoses, gauges, couplers and control components.
Most RC cylinders use hardened removable grooved saddles. Tilt and other saddle options can help improve contact with the load for specific lifting applications.
Base plates are available for selected 10, 25 and 50 ton RC-Series cylinders to improve stability during lifting.
Attachment options are available for selected 5, 10 and 25 ton RC cylinders for specialized hydraulic applications.
Hand, electric, air-driven and other pump options can be selected based on oil requirement, operating speed and job conditions.

Choosing an Enerpac RC Hydraulic Cylinder
Capacity-class tonnage identifies the cylinder family. Actual maximum capacity differs slightly by class, so use the specified maximum rating when performing engineering calculations.
Confirm the cylinder has enough stroke to complete the required movement while maintaining a practical margin below maximum extension.
Check available clearance before choosing a cylinder. Collapsed height can be critical underneath machinery or inside restricted work areas.
