More Than a Hydraulic Parts Counter.
Northland Air Hydraulics Ltd. is an Edmonton-based hydraulic and pneumatic equipment sales, service and repair company serving industrial customers throughout Alberta and Western Canada.
We started in 1967. Since then the equipment has changed, the technology has changed and some hydraulic systems have apparently decided they need enough electronics to qualify for their own IT department.
The basic idea has not changed: understand what the customer needs the equipment to do, understand the system and find a practical way to make it work.
Today we work with everything from hydraulic pumps, cylinders, jacks and industrial hydraulic tools to pneumatic equipment, bolting systems, accumulators, gauges, high-pressure testing equipment and custom hydraulic systems.
Sometimes the answer is a new component. Sometimes it is a repair. Sometimes it is a rental, calibration, custom-built system or tracking down a part whose manufacturer has apparently removed all evidence that it ever existed.

Practical Answers Beat Guesswork.
Start With the Application
What the equipment needs to accomplish comes first.
Use the Information You Have
A model number helps. So does a photo or pressure rating.
Look at the Whole System
Pumps, cylinders, hoses, gauges and valves all need to work together.
Practical Options
Repair it, replace it, rent it or build something different.
Sales + Service
We support the equipment after the sale as well.
Mystery Equipment Welcome
Missing tag? Old model? Strange fitting? We've spent a lot of years professionally squinting at hydraulics.
If It’s Hydraulic, Pneumatic or Just Generally Suspicious — Bring It In.
You do not need a perfectly written technical description before coming to the shop. Bring the equipment, the old part, the model number if you have it, or even just the thing you are trying to identify.
Hydraulic Cylinders
Leaking, damaged, worn, bent or simply not doing what they used to.
Hydraulic Pumps
Hand pumps, electric pumps, air-hydraulic pumps and power units.
Jacks & Lifting Tools
Industrial jacks, high-force lifting equipment and related components.
Torque & Bolting Tools
Hydraulic torque wrenches, pneumatic tools, pumps and bolting equipment.
Air & Pneumatic Tools
Impact tools, grinders, drills, ratchets and specialty pneumatic equipment.
Accumulators
Inspection, service, repair, nitrogen pre-charge and testing.
Gauges & Test Equipment
Pressure gauges, calibration equipment and high-pressure test components.
Hoses, Fittings & Components
Bring the old part with you when possible — matching is considerably easier when we can see the evidence.
Not Sure What It Is?
Perfectly acceptable. Bring it in anyway. Mystery hydraulic objects have a long history of showing up here.
What should you bring with you?
The equipment or old part, model number if available, any photos, pressure requirement if known, and a quick explanation of what it needs to do. No model number? Bring it anyway.
Hydraulics Are Kind of Our Thing.
If it lifts, pushes, pulls, presses, torques, pumps, tests, holds pressure or hisses suspiciously, there is a pretty good chance we can help.
Northland Air Hydraulics provides hydraulic and pneumatic equipment sales, repairs, rentals, testing, calibration, sourcing and technical support throughout Edmonton, Alberta and Western Canada.
From everyday shop equipment to specialized high-pressure tools, custom hydraulic systems and the mysterious piece of equipment someone found at the back of the shop with absolutely no useful identification left on it — send it our way.
We may not know its entire life story from one blurry photo, but after doing this since 1967, we're usually pretty good at figuring out where to start.
Sometimes It's Easier to Bring the Thing With You.
