Hydrotest equipment · Edmonton, Alberta

On-Site Hydrotester Equipment Service.

Northland's Edmonton shop is the starting point for hydrotester equipment repairs. For selected larger, fixed or plumbed-in systems that cannot reasonably be brought to the shop, we may be able to arrange an on-site assessment or repair when practical.

On-site service is available only by prior confirmation. Northland reviews each request individually based on the equipment, job scope, site access, location, scheduling, technician availability and safety conditions.

The right repair approach

Most equipment is serviced in our Edmonton shop.

In-shop work gives our team access to diagnostic tools, components and testing equipment. An on-site visit is an alternative we may consider for suitable systems, not the default way we handle repairs.

01 / STANDARD APPROACH

In-Shop Repairs, Testing & Calibration

Bring or send pumps, pressure components, controls, gauges and serviceable equipment to Northland for assessment and repair. Applicable functional checks, pressure testing, calibration and certification can be included within the confirmed service scope.

02 / WHERE PRACTICAL

On-Site Service for Qualifying Systems

Large, permanently connected or difficult-to-transport hydrotester systems may be assessed for an on-site visit. Whether work can be completed there is determined only after reviewing access, equipment, safety and technician availability.

What if a site visit is not suitable?

Northland can discuss shop repair, removing serviceable components for testing, replacement components or other practical options. We will explain the available approach before work is arranged.

Equipment assessment & support

Systems that may be considered for service.

The equipment below is representative of the types of pressure-testing systems Northland supplies and repairs. A photo or category listing does not mean we automatically offer on-site service for every unit.

Benches & Integrated Systems

Custom-built benches and larger assemblies where connected pipework, fixed mounting or system complexity affects repair options.

Need new components or a system upgrade? Northland can also supply hoses, valves, fittings, pressure instrumentation, pumps and replacement equipment. Ask us to review your current configuration rather than assuming a component will fit.

Before a visit is considered

How we assess a service request.

Start with equipment information so we can determine whether an in-shop repair, component removal or an on-site visit is a sensible option.

01

Tell Us About the Equipment

Share the manufacturer, model, pressure rating, location, symptoms and photos of the unit and nameplate.

02

Review Site Constraints

Explain whether the equipment is permanently installed, accessible, isolated and practical to remove.

03

Confirm Service Options

Northland reviews the job scope, parts, technician and travel availability, safety conditions and timing.

04

Agree on Next Steps

We discuss the available repair path and any quote or service requirements before scheduling work.

When the shop is the better option

Major disassembly, complex repairs, controlled pressure testing or calibration may require workshop equipment. Even when an initial review occurs at the customer's facility, Northland may recommend bringing components back to the Edmonton shop for repair and verification.

Clear scope

Equipment service, not your testing contractor.

We help keep hydrostatic testing equipment working properly. The customer's qualified personnel or testing contractor carries out the actual hydrostatic pressure test on their pipeline, vessel or other assembly.

What Northland May Provide

  • Assessment and repair of qualifying hydrotest pumps and equipment
  • Equipment component replacement and troubleshooting
  • Shop-based functional and pressure testing where applicable
  • Calibration, certification or service records for applicable equipment and agreed scope
  • On-site assessment or repair for selected systems, only when confirmed

What This Service Does Not Promise

  • Routine or guaranteed technician dispatch
  • Emergency availability or a fixed on-site response time
  • On-site completion of every repair, test or calibration
  • Performance of the customer's actual hydrostatic testing operation
  • Certification of the customer's pipeline, vessel or installation test result
Frequently asked questions

On-site hydrotester service FAQs.

Does Northland always provide on-site service?

No. Most equipment repairs and verification are handled through our Edmonton shop. For a selected fixed or difficult-to-move hydrotester, we can review whether an on-site visit is practical. Any on-site work depends on equipment, access, technician availability, scheduling and agreed scope.

Can Northland repair an installed pressure test panel?

We repair and service pressure-testing equipment, including panels and pumps. If the unit is installed, send details and photos so our team can determine whether work should be completed in the shop, by removing components or, where practical, by arranging an on-site visit.

Does Northland perform the customer's hydrostatic test?

No. Northland supplies, repairs and supports the equipment used for that work. The customer or a qualified testing contractor performs the actual hydrostatic test of their pressure-containing installation or product.

Does Northland perform testing and certification?

Yes, for applicable serviced equipment under the agreed service scope. Northland may perform functional and pressure testing, calibration and certification as appropriate. This is separate from conducting or certifying the customer's industrial hydrostatic test.

Can Northland guarantee an emergency or same-day visit?

No. Availability and response timing are not guaranteed. Call with the equipment details and urgency, and Northland can advise which service options can be considered.

What information should I send?

The make, model, pressure rating, location, symptoms, site access information, urgency and clear photos. Include whether the unit is fixed in place, and whether the suspected component can be brought to the shop.

Ask whether on-site service is practical.

Tell Northland what hydrotesting equipment you have and why it cannot come to our Edmonton shop. We'll review the details and discuss the available service options; any visit is subject to confirmation.
