You do not have to identify the failed part before contacting Northland. Tell us what the test system is doing, what pressure it should reach and when the problem started.
Will not build pressure
Low output or failure to reach the intended pressure may involve the pump, controls, fittings or other components.
Pressure drops or fluctuates
Unstable pressure can require inspection of the pump circuit, valves, connections and measuring instruments.
Visible leaks
Oil or test-medium leakage around seals, tubing, valves, gauges or connections needs appropriate assessment.
Unresponsive controls
Control valves, switching equipment or air and electric drive components may require inspection or repair.
Gauge or recorder concerns
Questionable readings or recording problems may call for instrument checks, calibration or replacement.
Damaged high-pressure parts
Hoses, fittings and tubing must be assessed for damage and compatibility with the equipment and its ratings.
Safety first: If the system is leaking, damaged, behaving unpredictably or not operating correctly, remove it from service in accordance with your approved procedures. Do not continue pressurizing it to diagnose the fault.

Northland performs applicable inspection, pressure testing and functional checks as part of equipment repair and service. Qualifying pressure gauges and test recorders may also be calibrated or certified within the agreed work scope.
We service the equipment customers use to perform hydrostatic testing. We do not carry out the customer's end-use hydrostatic test on a pipeline, vessel or industrial installation.

High-pressure equipment support
Northland supplies high-pressure valves, hoses, fittings and stainless-steel tubing for selected hydrotest systems rated up to 60,000 PSI. That is not a blanket rating for every pump or assembly. Every system and component must be checked against its specific design and operating conditions.

Yes. Northland services hydrostatic test pumps, pressure panels, benches and related equipment from multiple manufacturers, including equipment not originally purchased from Northland. Repair options depend on the model, parts and condition.
Do you service air-driven and electric hydrotest pumps?
Yes. Northland supplies and services air-driven, electric and other qualifying pressure-test pump systems. Provide the manufacturer and model for the most accurate service assessment.
Can Northland repair a permanently installed test bench?
On-site repair support is available for qualifying fixed or large systems when practical. Tell us where the equipment is installed and what access, power and safety requirements apply.
Are hydrotest pumps checked after repair?
Applicable functional or pressure testing is performed as part of the agreed repair scope. Any calibration, certification or documentation requirements should be discussed when the work is quoted.
Does Northland do the customer's actual hydrostatic pressure test?
No. Northland repairs, supplies, inspects and tests equipment, including equipment used for hydrostatic pressure testing. The customer or its qualified contractor performs the end-use testing of pipelines, vessels or other installations.
What should I send to request a repair?
Send the brand, model number, pressure rating, symptoms, available photos and your desired turnaround. A photo of the equipment and nameplate is especially helpful. Northland can review what service options are available.
