Northland Tool Box

Can My Pump Do It? Pick the cylinder or hydraulic tool you want to run, choose your hose setup, then select your pump. We’ll give you a quick oil-capacity check in plain language.

QUICK CHECK ONLY — PLEASE VERIFY WITH NORTHLAND: This tool is here to help narrow things down, but it can make errors and it cannot account for every application detail. Catalogue information, model configurations and job conditions can also change. A green result is not final approval. Before ordering, connecting or operating equipment, contact Northland Air Hydraulics so we can confirm the exact pump, cylinder/tool, hoses, valve setup and application.

Not sure what model you have? No problem — send us a clear photo of the nameplate or the model number you can see and we’ll help identify it before you rely on the result.

This calculator can make errors, and a green result only means the oil-volume check appears to pass based on the information selected. Send your results to Northland Air Hydraulics and we’ll confirm the exact setup before you order or use it.

How this quick check is calculated
Catalogue basis: Enerpac Industrial Tools E331 (05-2025). Cylinder oil values use the published E331 oil-capacity tables. Hydraulic tool values use published oil capacity, or published hydraulic area × stroke only where E331 does not provide a direct oil-capacity value; models without enough published data return Contact Northland. H700/H900 hose oil is 0.59 in³/ft for ¼-inch ID and 1.36 in³/ft for ⅜-inch ID. The green threshold uses Enerpac’s intermittent-use guidance of 1.2× equipment oil, with hose fill added separately; high-cycle applications require 2× equipment oil and must be verified with Northland.
